Selma Expeditions

The owner of the boat is Selma Expeditions Ltd. The shareholders are Dariusz Gocal, Krzysztof Jasica, Piotr Kuzniar and Malgorzata Wojtaczka. Our roots are from the Yacht Club A.Z.S. in Wroclaw, Poland. We have sailed for many years making use of all the yacht club boats including Panorama, on which we organised the most ambitious trips. We sailed to Iceland, Spitsbergen, the Antarctic Peninsula and circumnavigated South America. Thus we gained our sailing experience. Although we loved the atmosphere of the club, the time came when we wanted the independence of our own boat.

The yacht Selma Expeditions was bought and equipped with the specific intention of organising trips in regions which are difficult to reach in a more conventional way. Because of our collective experience the main fields of interest are sailing in the Arctic and Antarctic. Since both places are at opposite ends of the globe we will be sailing through many places of interest. It"s not important to us whether we travel on the Pacific side encompassing the Andes glaciers, Galapagos Islands or on the Atlantic side through the West Indies or Cape Verde Islands. Everywhere there are places of interest for sailors, divers, climbers or trekkers.

The design of the boat and her equipment permit us to organise voyages for groups with differing interests.

for sailors it is a large, comfortable and safe yacht.

for divers it"s a well equipped mobile diving base to take to any chosen location.

the same can be said for climbers and trekkers.

for scientists the boat could be used for research projects or as an addition to scientific stations around the world.

Within our sphere of operation we are able to personalise each trip and do our utmost to fulfil your dreams.

It was he who, on a grey, rainy London morning dreamt up the idea of buying an expedition boat.
